Great House

5 of 5
This house is perfect for a ski vacation getaway. We had 13 people in our group and the house had plenty of room to accommodate us all. The kitchen and open floor plan on the main level was great for entertaining or preparing food. The game room, pool table and shuffle board, was a great way to pass time and enjoy the house. The owners are great. We inquired about a slow cooker and they had one sent to the house... Any questions or concerns we had they were prompt with an answer. I would highly recommend this house for your ski vacation. We plan on heading back here for years to come.

Great place to spend Christmas vacation!!

5 of 5
What I didn't expect was 4 floors of fabulousness!! This home is perfect for a 2 or 3 family getaway. Shawnee Peak is literally around the corner. At night you can see the lights on the slopes through the backyard! There was a ton of room for spreading out and plenty of seating area for gathering together. Plenty of parking and a great backyard for romping around apres ski...for those left with energy! The kitchen had tons of cook wear, no need to bring a thing! The hosts supplied almost everything you would need. My only complaint was not being able to use the fireplace (which we knew ahead of time) and no dishwasher. However, Andy graciously offered to supply a temporary dishwasher if I wanted....I turned it down and just used mostly paper plates. There is also a fire pit out back if you really wanted a fire! Other than that, I would definitely return to this home for another vacation! Thanks Andy!

What a spot!!!

5 of 5
First of all, I would like to apologize to George for a very, very late review. Second, A chalet is not the first thing that comes to mind when one think of a summer getaway. And I feel that is a mistake! This place was just what we were looking for, secluded, large, well taken care of, with all the technology and comforts of home. George was very attentive before and after our trip (even when I kept pestering him about the types of granite and sinks he had in the house.. I had to know.. they were gorgeous!!!) Anyway, I will be the first to admit, the place was too big for just the two of us, but this was a problem that I enjoyed, we treated the chalet as a home base for some summer adventures to Mt. Washington, Sunday River Golf Course, zip lining on the mountain, and we fished every-single-day!... fly rods, on the Sunday River and the Andro!! 2 minutes from the chalet is Sun Valley Sports. fly shop/canoe and kayak rentals... Many thanks to the owner Lisa who made our week a blast! I would have to say the best part was having the town to ourselves. Clearly this is a ski area, but in the summer there is still much to do, fish, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, zip line (that was great) Summer is great around Sunday River!! If I could give it 7 Stars I would!! Thanks Again Ben and Jess
