We had 13 people (6 adults and 7 kids, ages 8-14) for an amazing ski week at this beautiful home. The owner, Doug, has done a terrific job building a home with a unique and comfortable layout. There's plenty of living space for groups to gather, and we could all eat comfortably together in the dining room, or have the grown-ups lounge in the living room while the kids collected in a bedroom or the downstairs living space. Everyone loved the hot tub, and there was nothing like a soothing tub at the end of a day on the slopes. Doug was very responsive, flexible and accommodating... very easy to work with. The home is fairly secluded (although part of a community) so it provides a lot of privacy. As noted previously in another review, the bedrooms aren't large, with the exception of the master bedroom. But people didn't spend much time in the bedrooms. Also, if you are going to have 13 people, then the people sleeping in the loft won't have complete privacy. That wasn't an issue for us, but if you plan to have people sleep in the loft you should ask Doug to explain the layout to you before you commit. There are some very minor unfinished bits in the house (like some missing trim. Really minor stuff.), but I only mention this if you are looking for a white-glove, Four Seasons type of experience. This place is best for the large family, warm, relaxing, getaway. If you want to be by the fire while you sit around the dining room table playing a family game of cards, after a day on the slopes and a warm hot-tub, then this place will fit perfectly.
