Absolutely, Positively Amazing!!!!!

5 of 5
Dakota Bear Lodge is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed! My husband and I planned a ski trip with some friends fell in love with this home from the beautiful pictures we saw online. The house is even more beautiful in person! The views are incredible, the location is great (so close to Shawnee Peak!) and the home is breathtaking. Almost everything in the home is made of this beautiful light wood and you feel at home the moment you walk in. Everything is perfectly clean, decorated, and welcoming. You truly get a vacation in the mountains feel at Dakota Bear Lodge! Each bedroom feels like the Master (although the two Masters are really, really awesome!). The hot tub is very fun, the sauna is a huge bonus, and there is plenty of room for fun. Rickie (owner) takes impecable care of the home and is very friendly, respectable, easy to work with. We had an absolute amazing time and would HIGHLY recommend this rental!!!

Great for a larger group!

20 of us stayed here as an end-of-the-year trip for our graduating master's class. We went in late spring and since it was the offseason we were the only ones on the side of the mountain. Lots to do both indoors and outdoors in a beautiful part of Maine. Eric was incredibly responsive and accommodating, and put in a good deal of effort to make sure our stay was a good one.
