Arrival was incredibly easy and we were welcomed by an extremely clean house, lobster pasta to cook, and 2 bottles of wine! The listing was accurate and the house is just as clean and well maintained as the pictures show. The kitchen is very well equipped for a rental. We had brought our own coffee grinder, but they had that too! Also had brochures and information about the surrounding area. The owner stopped by the 2nd day to check in, answer questions, and offer personal suggestions for eating, which we took and were excellent. Great knowledge of the local area.
Beach access was a very short walk away down a very quiet street (or even shorter down a busier street). The beach is private, but we never had a problem finding a spot - we heard it is more crowded during the middle of the summer but homeowners are still generally accepting of people from nearby homes.
Locally, we enjoyed time in Ogunquit, Kennebunk, and Kittery for the shopping, Trolley Museum, and Outlets. York is also close by and they have a zoo and amusement park. Our favorite activity was just digging and running on the beach. Hope it remains a nice unspoiled piece of the coast for a long time to come!
