                          STARRY STARRY NIGHTS

                          5 of 5
We had a perfectly orchestrated arrival. The flight into Bangor, getting a rental car, grocery shopping, the drive to Rockland, and arriving at the ferry terminal on time. Phew!! So worth it!! Angie was waiting for us as promised and took us to the Pointe. What an amazing location! The house is beautiful. I'm a food snob and packed my wok so we could get meals cooked properly. Imagine my surprise to find a Calphalon wok in the cabinet. The kitchen is very well equipped. We bought lobsters at the co-op and the was a great lobster pot, crackers, platters, picks--if you needed it; the kitchen had it. We explored the island, but the highlight was sitting in an Adirondack chair and enjoying the view of GOD! The sun sparkling on the water, the sunrise, the sunset--we didn't think it could get any better. Then we went out at night; the stars were unbelievable! The Milky Way was right over our heads. This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had. Thank you Scott for sharing your piece of Paradise. Thank you Angie for being so helpful.

                          PEACEFUL GETAWAY

                          5 of 5
The setting was private, yet close to town. It was very relaxing to sit and watch the ferry and lobster boats on The Reach either from the wraparound deck or even from the kitchen/living room. The house was bright and sunny, clean and well-maintained. We will be returning to this place when we visit the island again.

                          AWESOME!

                          5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful rental over 4th of July weekend and it is awesome! Close to the ferry terminal, close to downtown and close to the swimming quarry. It is spacious, brand new, spotless and has a huge deck for grilling, watching the boats, and entertaining! We love Vinalhaven and enjoyed fresh caught lobster, 4th of July parade, Vinalhaven band, fresh crab rolls after the parade, awesome local band (Richie's band) that played one night at the downtown restaurant/bar, swimming in the quarry, boating to Seal Island (saw puffins), saw a whale too! We also hiked up Tip Toe Mountain to see the fireworks going off on the main land (Thomaston, Camden, and more) -- gorgeous view! We had a fantastic time and will definitely spread the word and will come again real soon :)
