Enjoyed the beautiful views & proximity to Acadia

4 of 5
We enjoyed our time with our family here. The lawn was perfect for lawn games with a great view of the bay. The window from the great room just constantly gives you great views of the bay. We also enjoyed being half-hour from Bar Harbor and all the activities of Acadia. But we just enjoyed kayaking the coast line, and going across the bay to the opposite side, but we aware that it is much further than expected: at least 45 minutes of kayaking!

AMAZING!

5 of 5
We held a friend reunion here with 8 adults and 8 children. Between the guest house and the main house, there was plenty of room. I would not factor in the bunkhouse for occupancy as it was not a place we would have used, but there are PLENTY of pull out couches throughout the houses. The yard/beach access with children, hands down was perfect and needed. We were able to swim, kayak, and the land itself suitable for obstacle courses, soccer games, and a plethora of outdoor activities. It was about 25 minutes to bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor; a little longer to some of the hikes and bass harbor, bot doable. I HIGHLY recommend this place for large groups. The bonus, no trying to park at Sand Beach in Acadia because they have their own swimable beach. Worth every penny. Additionally, the owners were friendly, amenable, and responded quickly to emails.

delightful quiet spot with a spectacular sunset

5 of 5
For us this was perfect. So quiet! No engines sounds. So sweet smelling the fresh air! Such a respite for us from living and working near a large urban center. That would be enough. But step out the door to a beautiful garden with humming birds, walk the short path to the cove beach with loons paddling by and sit admiring the spectacular sunsets listening to the gentle lapping waves and that's my idea of delightful relaxing. And so much so close by in Acadia and the region makes the location perfect for day trips.
