Quiet, great views, close to everything

5 of 5
We had a great week at this house! Our 10 year old enjoyed walking on the beach and looking for hermit crabs. The view is great, and there was a wonderful afternoon breeze. The place is quiet, at the end of a dirt road, but only 20 - 25 minutes to all of the MDI attractions.

Wonderful home for active & relaxing Acadia vacation

5 of 5
This was such a great place to stay. It's the first home in Acadia that we have ever rented that we will come back to. The home is right on the water with beautiful outside space (gardens, deck, good chairs, shady spots, sunny spots). We kayaked off the backyard, then walked along the point at low tide to see Mt Desert Island. The house is clean and bright and has everything we needed -- good space for group gathering (and good board games) and many spaces for privacy & quiet (great books). The owners are nearby and responsive -- giving us directions to the grocery store when we asked, and replacing a microwave within an hour of learning that it didn't work. Six of us had a fantastic week -- I'm really looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended.

AMAZING!

5 of 5
We held a friend reunion here with 8 adults and 8 children. Between the guest house and the main house, there was plenty of room. I would not factor in the bunkhouse for occupancy as it was not a place we would have used, but there are PLENTY of pull out couches throughout the houses. The yard/beach access with children, hands down was perfect and needed. We were able to swim, kayak, and the land itself suitable for obstacle courses, soccer games, and a plethora of outdoor activities. It was about 25 minutes to bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor; a little longer to some of the hikes and bass harbor, bot doable. I HIGHLY recommend this place for large groups. The bonus, no trying to park at Sand Beach in Acadia because they have their own swimable beach. Worth every penny. Additionally, the owners were friendly, amenable, and responded quickly to emails.
