Enjoyed the beautiful views & proximity to Acadia

4 of 5
We enjoyed our time with our family here. The lawn was perfect for lawn games with a great view of the bay. The window from the great room just constantly gives you great views of the bay. We also enjoyed being half-hour from Bar Harbor and all the activities of Acadia. But we just enjoyed kayaking the coast line, and going across the bay to the opposite side, but we aware that it is much further than expected: at least 45 minutes of kayaking!

What a great place!

Hi Mary, We had an awesome week at the house. The weather was very hot (80's-90's) but the windows and fans made a great difference and maximized the cooling breezes from 3 the sides. We were very comfortable and did not want for anything. The location was perfect for spectacular views, lobster pounds and getting about easily. Morton's Moo and Blueberry Hill in Ellsworth and MDI Ice cream in BH are must sees (we love our ice cream). We swam at Echo Lake. We were going to go to the Acadia Reparatory Theater one eve but we ran out of time. It was easy for our family of 6 adults to spread out and have our space. I loved that we felt like we were in our own quiet little world away from everything but minutes away from anything we needed. The paintings are beautiful but my personal favorite was the one of Otter Cliffs. We became avid tide watchers too. It was nice having both the living room and the sun room with 2 tv's for gathering and options. The basement was a nice cool retreat sometimes too. We played board games several evenings. We never had an issue with running out of hot water or low water pressure. It was better than home actually. The pictures don't do justice to the property. Thank you for everything. You were super easy to work with. We made some great memories this week! The Steeles, Rochester NY
