Best of the best

We are so pleased that our first time in ANP was in Joan's beautiful place. We just left the place today and we already missed it and looking forward to come back. I was myself, husband and my 6 years boy and 4 year girl so the house fitted us just perfectly. Joan is nice and friendly, she keeps her place impeccable, intact, so clean, so cozy, so nice,........etc. Overlooking the harbor, in very quite street, two minutes from a restaurant named seafood Ketch we did not get the chance to checked it out, but heard all good about it and was always busy, also just by Rich's take out place where we bought fresh lobster for very good price and cooked in the big Lobster Pot in Joan's kitchen that is stocked with everything you might need to enjoy your time and make the stay effortless and so is the new washer and dryer in the premises. We stayed almost off season and glad we did to witness the Fall foliage and the scenic views that ANP is about. the house is very convenient to ANP and Bar Harbor, is also just few minutes drive or nice walk to Bass harbor historical light house where we did witness breathtaking moments in a light house standing there for the wind, the rain, the hot and cold weather, just so peaceful and speechless. Will strongly recommend Joan's Place for anyone looking for life time trip. Thank you Joan for making our stay so memorable, will be back, free up the schedule for us please!

Perfect for family getaway!

5 of 5
My family of five stayed here for a week, and it was great for us. Sleeping accommodations suited us perfectly...three bedrooms with queen beds and two twin beds gave everyone plenty of room. The house was clean, private, and quiet and the location was nice; we were just down the street from a restaurant/lobster pound in one direction (ate there twice-yum!), and a nice little walk to the town center with bakery, ice cream and market in the other direction. Hosts provided lots of reading material on the local area, and kitchen was well equipped. Proximity to the shuttle was nice; one morning we scheduled a whale watching tour, so we caught an early bus down the street (closest place to catch the early ones) and didn't have to worry about parking all day in Bar Harbor. LOVED having a washer and dryer. It rained two of the days we were there, but everyone was perfectly content lounging around watching TV all day as the living area was comfy. Storage for bikes in the garage beneath the house. Highly recommend!

Maine in late summer

5 of 5
This townhome was a great home-away-from-home. Spacious, comfortable, well equiped, nicely furnished and a convient location made our time at Harbor Ridge relaxing, easy and fun. Our unit was clean and well-maintained and working with the owner was very easy. The beautiful views from the decks and windows offer the Sound, Atlantic Ocean and mountains. Restaurants, shopping and more are just a few minutes walk into town. You are a short drive from the wonders of Acadia National Park or the fun and beauty of Bar Harbor. There is so much to see and do in this part of Maine! After a day of exploring the area, it was delightful to return to a welcoming private space. The resort is beautifully maintained and the common areas offer a place to relax, internet access, area information, things to do if the weather is uncooperative, a gift shop and a helpful staff. I can strongly recommend this property to my family and friends.
