Amazing trip to Maine!

5 of 5
From the moment we pulled down the driveway our trip was wonderful! Your home is so spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone! The amenities were plenty. Besides the beautiful wedding we attended at the John Peters estate, we spent our days kayaking & hiking. I will have to come back as the only problem in this trip was time. We needed more time. I wanted to eat at the Arborvine, shop at the LL Bean Outlet and actually hike Cadillac Mountain. This home is fantastic! Great location, I can't say enough about our wonderful trip. Also, Gina & Ed were wonderful to deal with. They answered all of my questions and they were so kind and generous. Thank you! I would highly recommend this home to anyone!

Beautiful cottage, wonderful hosts, great spot

5 of 5
This is a wonderful vacation property. The cottage is charmingly beautiful, immaculately clean and user-friendly. The owners are perfectly helpful, warm and friendly, but wholly unobtrusive. We stayed 11 days, with our 3 teenagers, all of whom shared the upstairs living space with no complaints. Blue Hill is a fun little town. Swimming and kayaking in the harbor (with 2 kayaks provided by the owners, as well as a canoe) is a must, where 4 seals are frequently seen frolicking around. There is a beautiful hike up Blue Hill Mountain a 5-minute drive from the cottage. Try to catch a play put on by the New Surrey Theater Company in the Blue Hill Town Hall. Acadia National Park is a 45-minute drive away. Highly recommend hiking up Cadillac Mountain via the West Face. And you have to see the Lumberjack Show, an easy 30 minute drive away. All of the little towns on the peninsula are also worth visiting. Don't miss the best Mexican restaurant in the Northeast, El El Frijoles, a 15-20 minute drive away. We also had a lovely sail in Acadia, using a local sailing company whose brochure can be found in the cottage. Cannot recommend this property enough to anyone looking for the quintessential Maine summer vacation.

True to the description,only better!

5 of 5
We just returned from our week at "Out to Camp". The house is beautifully maintained and true to the description on vrbo. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children. We had plenty of private space for all. My husband and I slept in the "daylight basement" with our twin 6 year old boys. There was plenty of space for us and all our stuff. The adjacent game room and walk out was perfect for the boys. The master bedroom and loft was used by my in-laws and sister in-law. There was plenty of space upstairs. All the rooms were spacious. The loft had a futon for sleeping, but proved to be too uncomfortable for sister in-law. The main floor bedroom, entry Hall, kitchen and dining was spacious and well equipped. The first floor bathroom was large enough for us to share. The outside deck had brand new flooring and railings. With a nice breeze we were able to sit outside each evening and watch the boys swimming in the pond. We grilled most nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. This was our first trip to Acadia. We were 30 minutes or so to the park at "Out to Camp". The road to and from was an easy drive past restaurants, shopping, etc. this made the location just fine, as we needed to get these services coming and going each day we ventured out. This home is fantastic for a relaxing retreat in a beautiful, private setting.
