This made my "TOP 3" list of BEST DECISIONS we made for our son's wedding in June, 2013. This home is huge and was the perfect place to host the rehearsal dinner, sleep 17 family/friends, and a fantastic location (inside and out) for photos the day of the wedding.
The groom/groomsmen had the entire lower floor to get ready - 7 person bunkroom, queen bedroom, bathroom, unique bar with gorgeous wood bar top and accents, ping pong table, SAUNA!!, etc.
The bride/bridesmade had the entire top floor to get ready - 2 king size suites (both with bathrooms, small private decks, and fireplaces), very large loft with couch and other places to sit, HUGE deck on front side of house.
Family/friends had the entire main floor - which was spectacular, too. Fabulous, large entry area - plenty of place for shoes, coats, even a very large bench. King suite with fireplace and full bath. MASSIVE great room with gorgeous stone fireplace. Big and beautiful kitchen, dining room, 3 season room (with another fireplace! ... and another dining table/chairs). Large, sprawling deck on the entire back of the house with great gas grill under pretty gazebo area. (Hot tub, too, for those of you renting in the winter.)
Everyone who visited us over the 3 days we were at this spectacular lodge commented on what a WOW-factor this place was ... I think it was first advertized as a 'log cabin' ... this is no cabin ... it's a BEAUTIFUL LODGE!
I HIGHLY recommend!
(By the way, the other 2 items that made our 'top 3' best wedding decisions - Robin E. Robinson's Nostaglic Limo & Horse Carriage Service - white horse drawn carriage - built in Amish country - pulled by 2 Clydesdales - Dave Stout's Maine Event Photo Booth - guests ages 4 to 86 had a BLAST dressing up with props and having their photos taken in the photo both!)
