Who Knew -- It couldn't Get Better

                  5 of 5
Our stay at the "Who Knew" cottage on Pigeon Hill Bay was fabulous! Marvelous views of the bay out to Petit Manan Lighthouse, lots of wildlife. and friendly neighbors greeted us on our arrival. Nights were peaceful and cool. The cottage was fully equipped with Satellite TV, Wifi, and the kitchen was supplied with everything you'd need for a lobster feed or even a Thanksgiving dinner. There was an outside gas fired Lobster cooker and a charcoal grill. Wanda Pinkham, the property manager, was a huge help and very attentive. There is lots to do in the immediate area. We attended a sculpture symposium and watched several artists creating their sculptures from beautiful blocks of Maine granite. We went to a Jazz recital at an old school house and heard an exceptional trio play well-known tunes and introduced us to a few new tunes. We hiked a trail in the Petit Manan National Wildlife Preserve that presented several habitats (beaches, XXX forest, etc) found in the region. And, at the end of Pigeon Hill road, we discovered a beautiful little, old, non-denominational church that is attended summer residents. Best of all we got a lot of rest, just hanging at the cottage and walking the beach in front of the cottage. The cottage more than met all of our expectations. This cottage was the best. We plan to rent it again. A great experience, overall!

                  stunning view!

                  5 of 5
We were in town for a family get together at my brother's farm in Steuben. This was our first time staying here, and we found it very comfortable. Wanda was attentive to all our needs and questions...easily available by phone. The view of the water from the large living room window is amazing! If you can, try to get up for the sunrise. The house is kept very clean and organized. I should mention that it has a homey feel with older furniture, appliances, dishes, etc. So if you are looking for modern comfort, this isn't the place. There is no AC, but it stayed cool with windows that open on all sides, and the breezes from the bay even when it was hot out. Definitely would stay here again! ~Brian

                  Great spot. Super easy

                  5 of 5
The cottage was clean, quiet, and in a great location. Looks like the owners put a lot of time and thought into making it their own beautiful place to stay but let others enjoy as well. Would definitely recommend. Milbridge is close by to get whatever is necessary and then pack a lunch and visit one of the beautiful beaches, wildlife refuge, etc.
