GREAT PLACE AND VIEW. LOVED THE LIGHTHOUSE HORN

5 of 5
Great place and wonderful views. You can't explain the the ocean smell along with the lighthouse fog horn going off. We loved the walk to the Preserve and hiked up Pigeon Hill . The view on top of Pigeon Hill beats Bar Harbor! The apartment was clean , had everything we needed , owners surprised me with a great lobster meal that he caught himself that morning.I think i loved the the sunroom the best having coffee watching the lobster boats go out to haul.

Secluded Beauty...I would go back.

5 of 5
It was a great central location for several members of our family in town for a wedding. The location is superb and worth the drive. We also were greeted by bald eagles at different points during our short stay. The house has everything you might need and then some. A weekend was not enough! Take advantage of the Nature Preserve. The hikes are easy and rewarding with the scenery.

Who Knew -- It couldn't Get Better

5 of 5
Our stay at the "Who Knew" cottage on Pigeon Hill Bay was fabulous! Marvelous views of the bay out to Petit Manan Lighthouse, lots of wildlife. and friendly neighbors greeted us on our arrival. Nights were peaceful and cool. The cottage was fully equipped with Satellite TV, Wifi, and the kitchen was supplied with everything you'd need for a lobster feed or even a Thanksgiving dinner. There was an outside gas fired Lobster cooker and a charcoal grill. Wanda Pinkham, the property manager, was a huge help and very attentive. There is lots to do in the immediate area. We attended a sculpture symposium and watched several artists creating their sculptures from beautiful blocks of Maine granite. We went to a Jazz recital at an old school house and heard an exceptional trio play well-known tunes and introduced us to a few new tunes. We hiked a trail in the Petit Manan National Wildlife Preserve that presented several habitats (beaches, XXX forest, etc) found in the region. And, at the end of Pigeon Hill road, we discovered a beautiful little, old, non-denominational church that is attended summer residents. Best of all we got a lot of rest, just hanging at the cottage and walking the beach in front of the cottage. The cottage more than met all of our expectations. This cottage was the best. We plan to rent it again. A great experience, overall!
