                                    We don't want to leave...

                                    5 of 5
Well, I have to say, at first, I was a bit nervous. Even though the owners were awesome at communicating with us, it was still our first time using a service like this. But, we had no need to be nervous. Everything was great! We love the location---even though most days we went into the park. We enjoyed many of the island's adventures, sights, and explorations. It was so nice to come home. It was the perfect size for the 6 of us. We cooked , prepared, and enjoyed all of our breakfasts and most lunches here. We also took advantage of the kitchen to prepare a few meals, but enjoy them at Seawall. Lobster dinner on the ocean was way more affordable and the scenery was priceless. We felt very comfortable here and hope to come back again! We sincerely hate to leave. The owners have helped create a home away from home for their guests. Thanks . I would highly recommend this place.

Great location to get to and around the Island

The description of the property was accurate and the house was very pleasant and filled with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. It was close to town with plenty of good restaurants near by; The Common Good is (10 min from the house) is a special treat, although not for everyone the Popovers were the great along with the fresh made blueberry jam strawberry jam, walnut butter . I would recommend that you go their web site , for my family it was a great decision. I would also like to mention that the owners are great people and addressed all of my questions or concerns ,Eric was great. I will mention that the property was on the main road and traffic builds during the day 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but by 7:00 pm traffic comes to a halt and we enjoyed our walks to the coffee shop in the morning and to town in the evenings. I did not find a bad restaurant in town , some a little pricey , we ate at Beals Lobster Pier ( great local dining) Eat -A-Pita Cafe was a good outdoor dining ,Outside cafe and ice gram shop, all located in walking distance of the house. In Bar Harbor located on the way into town is " Cafe This Way " a very good breakfast and dinner, opens at 5:30 pm make a reservation or be there at 5:30 and you will get a table. Do not miss sunset on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia Park. To summarize A great property, great owners, and a pleasant vocation.

                                    Great find!

                                    5 of 5
We spent a week here with our family in July, and we loved it. ANP is literally right out the front door, and our 10 year old daughters rode their bikes down the trail leading to Long Pond, by themselves, almost every day. Marjorie & Richard, the cabin's owners, were very hospitable. They even let us borrow an air mattress when ours sprung a leak. It's a short drive to Echo Lake and Acadia Mountain, and it's only about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor. We thought it was well worth it to be on the "quiet side" of the Island. We would definitely go back!
