Best Maine Vacation Ever!

5 of 5
My husband and I spent 2weeks in Bar Harbor with the Duck Cove Cabin as our "vacation" home. We can't say enough about the place. It is perfect for 2 people. A fully functioning kitchen, washer and dryer, tub and shower. The place is spotless too! We found the location perfect for us .....Quiet yet accessible to everything including Acadia National Park. Thurstons Lobster Pound is a must! Owner Anne is very helpful and accommodating. We hope to be back next year!

Great find!

We spent a week here with our family in July, and we loved it. ANP is literally right out the front door, and our 10 year old daughters rode their bikes down the trail leading to Long Pond, by themselves, almost every day. Marjorie & Richard, the cabin's owners, were very hospitable. They even let us borrow an air mattress when ours sprung a leak. It's a short drive to Echo Lake and Acadia Mountain, and it's only about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor. We thought it was well worth it to be on the "quiet side" of the Island. We would definitely go back!
