We used to summer in Old Orchard Beach when we were kids and we heard a lot of buzz lately of how beautiful the beach is today.
We did extensive research about vacationing in Maine and where to stay.
We chose this cottage because of its location- close to beach
and it's on a dead end street with no hotels or motels.
It was important that we had parking for 4 cars.
We were 3 families sharing the cottage- 8 people.
The cottage was tastefully renovated with a large bedroom on the ground floor and bathroom. Upstairs there were two other bedrooms, a newly renovated bathroom, large comfortable living room with a wrap around couch, and eat-in kitchen.
We appreciated the 2nd floor outside balcony where we sat and watched the ocean. This was our relaxing nightly ritual after the beach, to sit outside, have our wine and watch the sunset! It was awesome !
There's also a private side patio with a new gas grill and patio furniture, where we barbecued.
We had great weather and the ocean was so calm it was unbelievable.
The kids took floats ( there are some beach toys and boogie boards for use with the cottage) and had a ball! The water was refreshing.
It was important to us to find a clean, bright, well-maintained property and we can highly recommend this one! It is in a quiet, residential area so you don't have the noise of downtown. We walked to stores, for food, and the rides - all about 10 minutes away.
This cottage is really on the most beautiful area of the beach by far!
The house was fully equipped and we didn't miss a thing.
We were enjoyed vacationing in Old Orchard beach and we now intend to make this a yearly ritual!
We can't say enough good things about our vacation. We had a great stay! We would highly recommend this cottage. We booked for next year. This rates as a 5 star experience!
