Mt. Desert Gem

5 of 5
Our family of 5 ranged in age from 11 to 73, and we were all happy & content in this lovely guest house. The view from the dining area was gorgeous & as a plus warblers and vireos, new to us, perched right outside the window. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the beds super comfortable, the towels, pillows and sheets - bountiful. From this central location we covered nearly the entire island in a week. Our activities included kayaking, swimming, hiking, blueberry picking, shopping and dining. We even snuck in a view of formal gardens and saw a play. The hosts are super nice people. This is a marvelous place!!!

Wonderful Location, Wonderful Hosts

5 of 5
My family and parents stayed here for a week. This is located in the perfect spot for seeing the island, the center of everything. The house is almost 200 years old and in great shape. The hosts were more than hosts, i hope to stay in contact with them, they were really nice. I felt like i lived there. As the week went on we hung out with them more and more. They were very gracious letting us use the canoe, kayak, bring us lobsters, ping pong, on and on. I high recommend staying here!

Perfect place and location!

5 of 5
The property is wonderful and the setting is perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. If you are planning to visit Acadia National Park I'm convinced there is no better place to stay! Centrally located, you are close to all that the island has to offer. We saw eagles out back constantly (even a bald eagle). We kayaked out a sort distance with Wendyl's supplied kayaks and saw a seal in the cove. We had a fantastic trip and we plan to visit again someday soon! Thanks Wendyl!!!
