Perfect place and location!

5 of 5
The property is wonderful and the setting is perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. If you are planning to visit Acadia National Park I'm convinced there is no better place to stay! Centrally located, you are close to all that the island has to offer. We saw eagles out back constantly (even a bald eagle). We kayaked out a sort distance with Wendyl's supplied kayaks and saw a seal in the cove. We had a fantastic trip and we plan to visit again someday soon! Thanks Wendyl!!!

Lovely trip at the charming tree house!

4 of 5
The tree house on Mount Desert Island is definitely worth the trip. Situated on a mossy, tree covered hill a few short minutes from a small bay/cove on the island, this house and property were both perfect for a stay with our adventurous dogs. Although we were there quite late in the season for hiking and biking in Acadia, the cool mornings and evenings on the lovely deck and looking out on the water and trees were perfect for us. All the fun attractions at Acadia are a short drive, and Bar Harbor isn't far either. Southwest Harbor (our favorite town) was close also. The only thing we might suggest is coming a week or so earlier, as some attractions like the lobster pounds on the water and some restaurants were closed for the season. But, we had no major problems with the house and would certainly return. The master bed was comfortable and the shower's water pressure was great. The separate "guest" house is perfect for another couple or older children. Overall, we had a great time and hope to be back again!

Very enjoyable stay

5 of 5
This property is in an excellent location, very close to Acadia National Park. It is immaculately clean, and had plenty of room for our family to stay with my three children and my parents as well. The third bedroom is a suite of its own with a separate entrance. It works really well for my parents to be in there. This is also the room with the air conditioning which my parents appreciated. We have stayed at Ripples Cottage twice, enjoyed ourselves immensely both times, and will come back for sure.
