Excellent stay in middle of the best hunting area

4 of 5
This was our second stay at this beautiful cottage on the lake. Had a good stay in the middle of the best hunting area. The renter was very hospitable and will stay there again. By the way the Shapleigh Corner Store is the best place to eat in Maine, you need to try.

Our Maine Stay

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time during our week vacation in Maine. The home is set up so that two separate but related families could enjoy the same property. It has a great sandy beach and swimming area, the dock is perfect for fishing. The property is ideal for picnicking and has lots of seating areas for enjoying the views of the lake inside and out. We are native Mainers but now live out of state, and had lots of local company all week, it was ideal for us.

Spacious, Relaxing Home on Square Pond.

5 of 5
Property is clean, modern and spacious. We had a group of 20, 12 adults and 8 kids over the New Years Holiday and space was not an issue. The kids turned the downstairs game room into there space, which left the beautiful scenic upstairs to the adults. Waking up in the morning, sitting in a leather recliner drinking coffee looking out onto the frozen pond watching planes take off was so relaxing. We cooked, ate, drank and enjoyed each others company. One night we booked a sleigh ride over in Kennebunk (rockin stables) about a 40 min ride which allowed the kids to finally sleep. Well worth the trip! The property is fantastic and the family that owns the property couldn't be nicer! We fully intend to rent through them in the future.
