Perfect lakeside get-a-way!

5 of 5
Six of us stayed at Lone Pine for a surprise 40th birthday for my husband. This is a perfect vacation rental. The cottage has everything you need: a variety of seating spaces for eating, drinking and playing cards, grill, fire pits, fireplace, outside shower, and a boat mooring with ramp less than 5 minutes away. The cottage is very warm and homey. We enjoyed sitting on the beach with coffee each morning. The owners are fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating to our last minute schedule changes. They brought us wood for the for the fire and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable get a way. We especially enjoyed their well behaved and friendly lab, Lief. When you get here, be sure to throw a rock into the lake for him and enjoy the show. Thank you Rod and Joan for sharing your beautiful place and the memories. We'll be back...

Peaceful, restorative idyll in a special place

5 of 5
My family loves this magical, quiet house in a green corner of Maine, close to lakes and ponds, hiking trails, rivers to canoe or kayak, and great antiquing, with a hill full of blueberries to pick in season. The large kitchen is perfect for family gatherings as meals are prepared. The dining room table expands to seat quite a large party. The fireplace is often the focus after dinner. And then outside a sky full of stars, and even shooting stars if we are lucky. We always rejoice to arrive here again, and leave at the end of our visit rested and renewed. We feel very lucky to have found this summer treasure.

Great Vacation

4 of 5
We had a great week at the house. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. There was enough room for everybody to relax comfortably. We enjoyed eating dinner on the deck & making smores at the firepit. The beach down the street was great, the kids (15, 13, 10) loved swimming to the raft and kayaking, the water is very clean & clear. It is also close to Old Orchard beach & Sebago State park. We enjoyed a morning of blueberry picking, then made blueberry pancakes the next morning. We also had tons of fun playing pictionary at night, none of us had ever played so we played several times....kids vs parents, boys vs girls, family vs family. It was a relaxing fun family vacation! Thanks Cindy & Jeremy
