Our visit could not have been better. I'll add some details about the camp because that is what will help you choose this place, not my superlatives! The camp sits on the east side of Thomas Pond so you have the afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. There is a dock off of a larger deck where the water is approximately 7 feet deep at the end, perfect for swimming off. Plenty of room for a jetski or 20ft boat. There is a firepit, grill, plenty of outdoor seating and the views are spectacular. There is an awesome diner (Danielles) about 5 minutes back down the road and Raymond boat launch/beach is free and great for the younger kids as it stays shallow out to the floats. The camp has plenty of privacy and the extra bunkhouse is perfect for visitors. The place was spotless and very cute with a wonderful sunroom on the back that was great for playing cards and enjoying a book with a great view. Camp came with enough pots, pans and dinnerware to get through breakfast up through steaming lobsters (available for CHEAP locally) for dinner,There is a small shaded lawn up by the road if you want to pitch a tent.
The relaxation that my family enjoyed cannot be overstated. There was exactly NO PROBLEMS with the property. With no minor inconveniences or calamities we spent our time fishing, sailing (you can rent sunfish sailboats $200/5 days delivered from a local rental company), swimming and enjoying the local shops and sites. It was a great way to spend a week and we will definitely be coming back! The Owner was a breeze to deal with and I honestly could not have been happier with our visit.
ps. brush up on your constellations because you will have a chance to impress the kids as they are all visible! We had Venus hanging out over the pond (the size of a medium lake, the pond designation is due to the avg depth not area) right at sunset, it was really cool.
