                      BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED, IMMACULATELY CLEAN HOUSE

                      5 of 5
This is an excellent location for enjoying Mt. Desert Island. We hiked Beech Mountain and enjoyed wandering on Wonderland and Ship's Harbor trails. The house was extremely comfortable, very clean. Lots of places to sit comfortably and be away from it all. The screened in porch was lovely in the evening to eat dinner and listen to the birds. We were here celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and couldn't imagine a better place. The bed was comfortable and the house was cozy even on the damp drizzly days where the temperature never got above 50. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to any one.

                      CHARMING AND PEACEFUL!

                      5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Seal Cove Cottage. The house is beautiful, cozy and charming. The house is probably 100 years old and is decorated accordingly, however it is very child friendly. My kids were able to run around in the house and outside without me worrying too much about their safety. The screened in back porch is the best part of the house! We loved sitting out there and looking out onto the bay. So beautiful and tranquil. We rented a canoe for the week and it was great. We took it out everyday on the bay and even saw seals. So cute to do only steps away from the house. It was fun for the kids during low tide to go down and treasure hunt for shells, crabs, etc. The house is so quiet especially at night and everyone slept great. The owner Ginger was so great leading up to our stay and gave awesome suggestions about where to eat, swim, hike. You can tell how much she loves her cottage and wants others to love it too. Loved our stay and want to go back soon!!

                      UNBELIEVABLY PERFECT

                      5 of 5
I am facing a dilemma as to whether to post a review or not - I don't want to compete with the rest of the world the next time we want to stay here! We stayed in the Sunset Point Cottage in late July/early August. It has amazing views of the bay, is totally private, and we loved the peace and quiet (even with two boys 14 & 12). The cottage was immaculate, thoughtfully and fully furnished, and supplied beyond expectations in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as little surprise’s such as hammocks, a cooler, and foosball table. The sunsets are amazing, directly over the bay out the front windows. My family always tries to avoid staying in hotels, and sometimes the places we stay are not what they claim to be but I must say that in all my years of travel. I have never come across such a well-equipped rental. The attention to detail was beyond compare. Peter was a wonderful and responsive host and we could not have wished for anything more wonderful than Sunset Point Cottage.
