                We LOVE this house!

                5 of 5
Our family of 5 adults spent the first week in August at this charming, comfortable, peaceful, beautiful and quintessential Maine seacoast house. The attention given to detail in this home is unbelievable. Ginger was fantastic in providing a wealth of information and very quick responses to my email questions. The quiet side of MDI is just that; the perfect getaway. We bought pies at the Somesville church pie sale (every Wed at noon but get there early, blueberry sells out first), swam at Echo Lake, went into Bar Harbor a couple of times, hiked at Schoodic Mountain away from the crowds at the more popular hiking spots, ate lobster of course, kayaked off the shore, watched the lobster boats in the cove from the evening porch (loved the porches), and did not want to leave. This is a house we will absolutely return to. As my husband said to me on our way home, 'Honey, you did well picking our Maine house this year. Can we stay forever?'

                Beautiful Cottage!!!

                5 of 5
This cottage was really amazing! We like to explore, hike, cycle, and kayak as a family. This cottage was a fantastic location for all of the above. We also like to cook, and the cottage was the first place we have ever rented that I did not miss the kitchen equipment we have at home. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great spot for a spectacular time in Maine and Acadia National Park.

                Unbelievably Perfect

                5 of 5
I am facing a dilemma as to whether to post a review or not - I don't want to compete with the rest of the world the next time we want to stay here! We stayed in the Sunset Point Cottage in late July/early August. It has amazing views of the bay, is totally private, and we loved the peace and quiet (even with two boys 14 & 12). The cottage was immaculate, thoughtfully and fully furnished, and supplied beyond expectations in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as little surprise’s such as hammocks, a cooler, and foosball table. The sunsets are amazing, directly over the bay out the front windows. My family always tries to avoid staying in hotels, and sometimes the places we stay are not what they claim to be but I must say that in all my years of travel. I have never come across such a well-equipped rental. The attention to detail was beyond compare. Peter was a wonderful and responsive host and we could not have wished for anything more wonderful than Sunset Point Cottage.
