Wonderful House!

5 of 5
We just returned from a wonderful week in Maine, and we loved everything about this house. The location was ideal, the views were spectacular, and having access to the water was a real treat. The house was exactly as pictured and described. We found it to be very comfortable, cozy and inviting. The house was nicely decorated and furnished, and very well equipped with everything you would want or need. In particular, we appreciated the well equipped kitchen, as we enjoy cooking and preparing meals when we vacation in this type of a setting. We found a nice assortment of cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glassware and the like. The screened in porch was the place to be during our week, we ate almost every meal out there, except for one rainy evening where we decided inside would be better. We found leaves for the dining room table, a lovely tablecloth and placemats and we enjoyed our dinner inside as much as outside. Highlights of our week included kayaking in Seal Cove, hiking in Acadia, exploring the park and spending some time in the towns of Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. Breakfast at Grumpy's is a must, and a lobster feast at Thurston's lobster pound was memorable. A good rainy day activity is the Seal Cove Auto Museum, just up the road a bit from the house. We spent a very enjoyable rainy morning there. For as much as there is to do in the area, the house provided a very inviting place to just sit back and relax, read a book, or catch up with the family.

Beautiful Cottage!!!

5 of 5
This cottage was really amazing! We like to explore, hike, cycle, and kayak as a family. This cottage was a fantastic location for all of the above. We also like to cook, and the cottage was the first place we have ever rented that I did not miss the kitchen equipment we have at home. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great spot for a spectacular time in Maine and Acadia National Park.

Unbelievably Perfect

5 of 5
I am facing a dilemma as to whether to post a review or not - I don't want to compete with the rest of the world the next time we want to stay here! We stayed in the Sunset Point Cottage in late July/early August. It has amazing views of the bay, is totally private, and we loved the peace and quiet (even with two boys 14 & 12). The cottage was immaculate, thoughtfully and fully furnished, and supplied beyond expectations in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as little surprise’s such as hammocks, a cooler, and foosball table. The sunsets are amazing, directly over the bay out the front windows. My family always tries to avoid staying in hotels, and sometimes the places we stay are not what they claim to be but I must say that in all my years of travel. I have never come across such a well-equipped rental. The attention to detail was beyond compare. Peter was a wonderful and responsive host and we could not have wished for anything more wonderful than Sunset Point Cottage.
