            Sublime Vacation Cottage

            5 of 5
From the moment I walked into the newly renovated "2Squeak Cottage," I was hooked. The light-filled kitchen accommodated the 7 cooks (including wannabes) with high quality tools and a giant island where everyone worked together to create a fabulous lobster dinner, possibly my favorite part of the vacation. Jackie's eclectic and homey personal style reflected attention to every small detail, from the selection of cookbooks and CDs, to the artwork. Unlike so many other vacation cottages, nothing seemed like an afterthought. Add this to the dreamy meanderings of the babbling brook and being within walking distance of one of a photographer's dream (Schoodic Point), I did not want to leave. I will definitely be reserving a spot for next summer. Thanks Jackie!

            Perfect!

            5 of 5
This cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. It was also fully equipped with everything we needed. The photos and listing information are completely accurate. The owners were extremely helpful with providing information about the area and and the cabin (as well as spur of the moment assistance). We enjoyed cooking in the nicely stocked kitchen, playing games in the evenings, playing ping pong, and sitting on the deck. We spent quite a bit of time exploring the Schoodic Peninsula and sitting on the rocks watching the waves since it was so beautiful and quiet there. We also enjoyed Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but the cabin and Schoodic were great places to enjoy relaxing away from crowds.

Extraordinary Place of Quiet Beauty - Take Me Back

            5 of 5
Eagleview is by far a hidden gem with lots of charm and character. The view from every floor is jaw dropping and the fire pit in the evenings provided so much peace & tranquility.. Even though there were only 4 of us on this trip, we could have easily brought several more of our friends and still had plenty of room. We cooked in many meals and there were all the needed cooking items in the fully stocked kitchen. We spent several days in Acadia hiking from Sandy Beach to Otter Point plus Jordan Pond and a couple of hikes in the Schoodic Peninsular. You might say we ate our way through Maine enjoying fresh lobster, blueberry pie and blueberry pancakes - Chester Pike has the best homemade blueberry pie and blueberry pancakes and the restaurant is 3 miles from Eagleview. We also enjoyed their Haddock sandwiches. Our side trip to Campobello Island in Canada was not a disappointment. We loved our time here and the owner, Tony, was very gracious and very responsive. The only negative I have is that our week did not last long enough. I'd rent Eagleview again without any hesitation and recommend to all friends and relatives. Come and see for yourself!
