Wonderful Cozy Getaway on the water. Great Fishing

5 of 5
What a wonderful cozy cabin on the water ! This property had everything we needed and the amenities were top notch ! We were able to tie our 21ft boat up at the dock right in front of the cabin. This made for easy access for some wonderful fishing on Schoodic Lake. In three days we caught 8 Lake trout and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on the deck. Our evenings consisted of a sunset cruise on the water followed by a cozy sit by the fireplace in the cabin. Great get away for those who want privacy and a nice big lake to recreate on.

Great Place for a Relaxing Vacation

5 of 5
My family had a great time staying at this cabin right on Schoodic Lake this summer (2009). It felt like we had the lake all to ourselves because the lot is secluded at the very end of Knight's Landing Road. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The dock, canoe, and life vests that are there made it safe and fun for all of my kids. The lake is clear and great for fishing. We have five children ranging in age from 9 months to 15 years old and spent most of the week just enjoying the camp and lake. No one was bored and we had plenty of room. There are board games for all ages and my wife enjoyed one of the books that was there. During the day, we opened up the windows on the front and rear of the house which created a perfect cross breeze through the house that kept you cool but not cold. The kitchen was great and fully equipped as we ate almost all of our meals there. We had lobster and steak just to name a few. We did take one day to drive to Bar Harbor and enjoy Acadia National Park. Cadillac Mountain and the Thunder Hole were the favorites but the views are magnificent. We stopped at a small restaurant in Trenton on the way for lobster rolls. All things considered, it was the most relaxing and fun vacation we have ever had. Even though the house is suitable for a large family, my wife and I can see ourselves taking a trip by ourselves and enjoying the peace and quiet.
