Recent Scarborough and Pine Point Reviews

Incredilbe property for a family reunion.

5 of 5
I shopped for quite awhile to find the right place to host a family reunion. The Beach House at Pine Point was everything I was looking for and then some. First off, the owner is accommodating in every way. He has a sense of what people want and need and, as far as our family is concerned, goes above and beyond. We decided to rent the entire place, which gave 15 adults, 2 children, and an infant (we brought our own portable crib) comfortable, private, and quiet sleeping space. There were still some bunks left over! We lost count of the bathrooms, most with showers. Everyone had privacy when they wanted or needed it. The beds are comfortable, the linens top notch. There is even a sauna. Both parts of the house have kitchens and laundries. We were able to extend the dining area to seat 22 for dinner. We could have cooked our own lobsters but ordered them cooked from Bayley's a few doors down. Other meals we were able to cook for the entire group in the well-equipped kitchens; plenty of quality cookware and place settings. The appliances are high quality and in excellent working order (new). The furniture and decor in the house is clean, comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and in the back yard where there was lots to see and natural beauty to appreciate in the Scarborough Marsh. A short walk away is one of Maine's longest sandy beaches with great surf. All of that didn't leave much time for television or computer use, but the house comes with Wi-Fi and cable with flat screens in the living rooms and nearly every bedroom. I want to thank Drew for making this incredible property available for a great price. Our first family reunion in twenty-five years went beautifully. We won't wait that long to come back.

Cozy, comfortable, and peaceful.

5 of 5
This charming cottage is clean, well equipped, and has comfortable living quarters. We have had the pleasure of staying here for many years with our children and grandchildren and consider it our summer paradise! One of our favorite early morning pastimes is sitting on the raised deck with a cup of coffee and watching the fishing boats head out to sea. It takes only a few minutes to walk from the cottage to the fine white sandy beach and the ocean. A walk in the opposite direction brings you to the fishing docks, a small seafood restaurant, and a seafood market. My husband and I like to cook and the kitchen has an ample supply of pots, pans, and utensils. We also like to use the grill on the deck. Because the cottage is located on a dead end street, there are many more walkers, bikers, and strollers than cars. It's a quiet, peaceful, lovely area. The owners are friendly, helpful, and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Fabulous Family Vacation Spot

5 of 5
This home is ideally located on the peninsula of Pine Point, Maine. The huge living room windows look out onto Scarborough harbor and the beautiful sand marsh, which is teaming with salt water birds and interesting animals. We launched our canoe from the sandy beach just in back of the cottage and had a relaxing afternoon ride. On the other side of the peninsula you'll find a gorgeous 7 mile strip of white sand beach. The home is immaculately maintained and stocked with anything that a vacationing family might need. There are terrific seafood restaurants within walking distance, and the Maine Mall is a short drive away. You couldn't ask for a better place to rest, relax, and unwind. We can't wait to get back!
