Beach House of Serenity

5 of 5
Driving up the private road into the beach house was very inviting.. As we got out of the car the smell of the ocean air and the beach pine trees was amazing. Walking into the house was exciting. It not only was extremely clean also the decor of the house was great. The house is laid out for everyone needs.. As we went out on the front porch drinking our coffee and fresh baked blueberry muffin from the family owned farm stand was delicious. We could see the waves rolling in and breaking onto the beach. As we walked a short path onto the beach we found shells, sea glass, driftwood, and the water was amazing.. At night it was so peaceful to sleep as the sound of the oceans waves would mesmerize us to sleep. The location is perfect ten minutes from shops and as you travel down route 77 the Portland Head Light is always a treat. My family and friends had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone who truly would love a great place for a awesome vacation. Thank you Val for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.. It was awesome!!! Douglas and Cynthia Mattson 5 stars for us.

Incredilbe property for a family reunion.

5 of 5
I shopped for quite awhile to find the right place to host a family reunion. The Beach House at Pine Point was everything I was looking for and then some. First off, the owner is accommodating in every way. He has a sense of what people want and need and, as far as our family is concerned, goes above and beyond. We decided to rent the entire place, which gave 15 adults, 2 children, and an infant (we brought our own portable crib) comfortable, private, and quiet sleeping space. There were still some bunks left over! We lost count of the bathrooms, most with showers. Everyone had privacy when they wanted or needed it. The beds are comfortable, the linens top notch. There is even a sauna. Both parts of the house have kitchens and laundries. We were able to extend the dining area to seat 22 for dinner. We could have cooked our own lobsters but ordered them cooked from Bayley's a few doors down. Other meals we were able to cook for the entire group in the well-equipped kitchens; plenty of quality cookware and place settings. The appliances are high quality and in excellent working order (new). The furniture and decor in the house is clean, comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and in the back yard where there was lots to see and natural beauty to appreciate in the Scarborough Marsh. A short walk away is one of Maine's longest sandy beaches with great surf. All of that didn't leave much time for television or computer use, but the house comes with Wi-Fi and cable with flat screens in the living rooms and nearly every bedroom. I want to thank Drew for making this incredible property available for a great price. Our first family reunion in twenty-five years went beautifully. We won't wait that long to come back.

Beautiful and Private Location

5 of 5
We traveled back to my home state of Maine to visit family in Scarborough. We felt so fortunate to find this wonderful and private location so close to the beach. The interior of the home is comfortable and surprisingly large and spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked and there were more than enough pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and linens. The beds were comfortable and there were numerous fans throughout the home to keep air circulating and the temperature comfortable. The home is close to the beach so there is often a refreshing ocean breeze. The beach is a very quick and easy walk away. This is a more upscale and private area..there were some days we had a large portion of the beach to ourselves. Our children enjoyed looking at the abundant crabs, shells, and other sea life. The beach is sandy and great for kids to play. There were beach toys and boogie boards at the home for our use. Area homeowners were kind and helpful. At night we could hear the sound of the ocean waves..it was very peaceful. Most other homeowners appeared to be professionals and retired people..thus it was quiet and conducive to rest and relaxation. The road is private so there are few cars passing through. We were not far from area attractions..it's a short ride to Portland and the Old Port. There are numerous seafood and lobster restaurants nearby including a lobster place just down the road offering freshly steamed lobsters for pick up. The cleaning woman was wonderful as was the handyman. Both were kind and helpful. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely return!
