Another fabulous summer vacation at the Sea Rose Cottage!!

5 of 5
In August, my family and I spent our fourth summer vacation in a row at Sea Rose Cottage. As always, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the new trundle bed and day bed which were new additions this year. One of our favorite rooms is what we call the sun room where we begin most mornings coloring with our grandchildren. The cottage is so very cozy and each space has its own charm. Our grandchildren especially love the out door shower as well. Having a washer and dryer in the basement is so convenient especially for beach towels throughout the week. My husband, son, daughter in law and two young grandchildren love the cottage and we look forward to our return all year long. Many thanks to George, Joni, and Priscilla for all they do for our comfort and convenience.

Fabulous Family Vacation Spot

5 of 5
This home is ideally located on the peninsula of Pine Point, Maine. The huge living room windows look out onto Scarborough harbor and the beautiful sand marsh, which is teaming with salt water birds and interesting animals. We launched our canoe from the sandy beach just in back of the cottage and had a relaxing afternoon ride. On the other side of the peninsula you'll find a gorgeous 7 mile strip of white sand beach. The home is immaculately maintained and stocked with anything that a vacationing family might need. There are terrific seafood restaurants within walking distance, and the Maine Mall is a short drive away. You couldn't ask for a better place to rest, relax, and unwind. We can't wait to get back!

Cozy, clean, rustic cottage by the sea!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in mid-October. We didn't know exactly what to expect but this was absolutely wonderful. The listing description is right on, there are two bedrooms each with two twin beds - you must bring your own linens but the covers on the beds are clean - very cute & rustic Maine cabin-y. The kitchen is very clean, small but big enough for a few people (and maybe 2 kids), has a little microwave, a very nice, clean fridge, a little kitchen table with 2 stools, a stove, a coffee maker & plenty of dishes & pans to use. Again, very clean and lovely. Everything looks very well cared-for and lovingly placed. The inside is all wood with rustic Maine decor - if you're expecting posh rooms with painted drywall and framed paintings, this is not your place - it is more earthy in a clean and cozy way - real Maine. There is a cute little fireplace that you can use - and we did have some wonderful fires in it! The heat is electric and just fine - turn it down when you leave for the day. Proximity to the beach is amazing - maybe a 15 -second walk down the tiny street. The yard is small but who needs it, with the beach seconds away? You have to put your trash into the bin outside & leave it for the truck, and clean up after yourself before you leave - basic thoughtful behavior for any guest. The owner is friendly and very nice. The cottage is behind a bigger rental house (same owner) and close to other houses; so it is not isolated, but just a nice part of the little neighborhood. The owner has left a binder with lots of useful information under the living room table, even with local restaurant descriptions & personal reviews. Priceless!! For those not familiar with this beach, it is the most quiet one I have ever known, even in the midst of summer. There can be many people on it during the summer season, but it's not obnoxious like other beaches can be. I've been coming to this beach for almost 40 years and have rarely dealt with obnoxious people (ie. loud music, partying, general bad behavior, etc.) We will be back, and can't wait! It was tough to leave, we loved this little gem so much.
