Great!

5 of 5
We are a family of 6 with young children. We had such an amazing time at this welcoming house for 2 weeks this summer. We rent a cottage each year in this area for many years and this place was simply the best: beautiful house, child-friendly (kids have enough place to play inside and outside and can securely run on the deck!), windows all-around, wonderful porch, many rooms for family members and some guests. We could have lunch and dinner on the deck everyday and with friends many times. Only a few steps from the beach. What a pleasure to hear the sound of the waves from our bedrooms. Also, a great place to run, from Camp Ellis to Pine Point or downtown Saco. The owner is very kind and the neighborhood is quiet. The perfect vacation! We already plan to go back next year.

Perfect!

This is a home not a house. My family used the home during a long weekend for a high school graduation. I traveled with 3 boys, ages 8,6,4. This was ideal for them. Also my 81 year old grandfather stayed with us at the home and it was ideal for him as well. Hoping to plan more family time at this home. I hated to leave but look forward to returning. You truly only have to buy your food and kick your feet up!!!

Exceeded Expectations

I was there with my son and our dog in late June 2010. As soon as we drove into Camp Ellis I knew we had found something special. The cottage's proximity to a lovely, peaceful beach was such a treat for us. We had terrific dinners at Hout's and Wormwood's and more than one enjoyable breakfast at the General Store's Clamshell Cafe. It was so nice to be able to walk to all of these places and I came to think of them as OUR neighborhood restaurants! The cottage was clean and comfortable. I loved the air conditioned master bedroom, the three television sets and most of all the washer/dryer... We took mini trips to Cape Elizabeth, Orchard Beach and Fun Town/Splash world, but otherwise we stayed happily put. While I was there I was wishing I could live there full time and it was difficult to leave when the week was up. There was a guest book there and when I glanced through it, all of the comments I read sounded as pleased with the place as I was. Late June was a perfect time to go – everything was open, but never a crowd or a line anywhere we went. I truly hope to go back!
