Breathtaking, secluded, yet close to everything

Some warm and welcoming. The owners went above and beyond - when we arrived the house late Sunday evening we found the refrigerator had eggs, OJ, milk, Maine Jam (blueberry and raspberry), bread and coffee. What a nice treat so we did not have to get up and hurry in the morning to go into town and eat or shop. Our family (2 college boys, my husband and I) had a relaxing time - great views. The owners also were so kind to give us some great tips on places to see and things to do. A definite place to stay!!

Tops in views, convenience, and comfort

I loved my stay here. Not only is the place nestled in the peaceful village of Rockport, I could be as private or engaged in town as I pleased. The rooms are sunny, beautifully decorated, spotless, and well equiped. There is also the "smack you in the eye" beauty of Rockport Harbor from almost all windows. The big surprise was climbing into the big tub on the top level to see a gorgeous and surprising view of Ragged Mountain. Parking was very easy. When I come back to attend a workshop at Maine Media (formerly Rockport Photographic Workshop), I will definitely tuck in here. Walking access to Maine Media, Shepherd's Pie, and the Harbor is a huge plus.

        Comfortable rustic retreat

        4 of 5
Our log cabin stay was a fitting introduction to Mid Coast Maine. Quietly secluded in the forest, it provided a spacious, clean home base to explore the scenic and cultural attractions of the area that are very nearby. We especially enjoyed the back porch with plenty of rockers & chairs for comfortably enjoying the many birds plus plenty of peace & quiet. Of the many places to explore, I highly recommend the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland...a well displayed collection of American artists who have lived or worked in Maine. Lots of places to enjoy good seafood too: our favorites included Atlantica in Camden and an outside table at The Pearl in Rockland. Great chowder!
