Paradise in Paradise Park Old Orchard Beach

5 of 5
Years ago we camped with our young children at Paradise Park Resort so decided to stay in one of their rental units for a few days to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Although the layout of the Park remians the same (accept for the addition ofthe campsites in the back of the park and 2nd pool area), the owners have made many upgrades to the park over the years tha make this an excellent destination for campers and renters alike. The family members that own and run the park obviously understand the importance of customer service as they are very friendly and extremely accomodating. The property is very clean and well maintained. When you walk into the bathrooms, the cleanliness and decor feels more like a high class hotel and not the dingy 'camp' bathrooms you find at some campgrounds. The rental unit itself was in excellent conditionvery and well equipped with everything you need (except linens) which allows you to pack lightly for your trip to Old Orchard Beach. Of course, the proximity of the Park to all of the OOB attractions and the beach (within walking distance) is another good reason to choose Paradise Park as your destination resort. Eventhough it's not right 'on the beach', it's nice to come back to the park after a day of sun and sand and enjoy all of the amenities Paradise Park has to offer. I personally enjoyed fishing in the on-site bath pond, relaing in one the three jaccuzzi's and swimming in the salt water pool to cool down the sunburn I got at the beach. In summary, I would highly recommend this as a vacation detination to family and frineds.

wonderful winter vacation at the villa

5 of 5
We recently stayed at the villa for a long weekend in February. It was the best winter vacation our family has experienced. The Cobbossee house is amazing. It is not only luxurious but also quite warm and cozy. There are two wood stoves with an abundance of wood available and an outside firepit for making baked potatoes, hotdogs, and samores. There is also a fabulous sound system throughout the house with quite an assortment of C.D.s We enjoyed nature and several winter sports including ice skating, snow shoeing, and ice fishing. It would also be a great place to cross country ski. Next time I will remember to bring my ski's. We also saw several types of birds. There were 6 large blue jays enjoying the bird feeder one morning. At dusk as we were sitting around the fire pit there was a wood pecker at the same feeder oblivious to how close we were. When we were out on the ice we saw eagles and hawks. The Maine winter sunset was truly captivating, As darkness approached there was a bright red glare over the ice and snow. We really had a memorable time and hope to return next year.

Excellent Experience & Value

5 of 5
The villa is spacious and more than large enough to very comfortably accommodate 8 adults and an infant. The house and beach provide absolute privacy. The setting is beautiful. There are no views of other homes nor did we see any other people. The lake is large and beautiful. We used the canoe to explore the lake on which the house is located as well as one of the (5) connecting lakes. The beach has a gradual slope which allows easy access to the lake. It was an additional luxury to use the sauna after swimming. Listening to the calls of the loons was a perfect way to end the day on the screened in deck.
