We came from the west coast to visit Acadia National Park last month on the recommendation of friends who came last year and stayed in this really nicely furnished, and very clean house.
Like other reviewers have commented, it was a perfect location, just outside of downtown
Bar Harbor and a quick jog into the park. The air conditioning allowed us to sleep
as late as we wanted several mornings after late nights in town without being awoken by the numerous birds and seagulls that inhabit the island and wake up before dawn. It was great fun rock climbing in the park, taking the Margaret Todd schooner around the island, and figuring where we wanted to eat each night. I thought Two Cats had the best blueberry pancakes I ever ate for breakfast and Cafe This Way, the best fresh fish.A couple of nights we cooked in and enjoyed eating out on the deck. Would definitely recommend this house to other friends, and stay here again if we come back to Maine!
