Wonderful Family Vacation!

5 of 5
This was our second visit to Jonesport, and we were thrilled to spend our vacation this year in this spectacular home. Our family of four (including two teenage girls) was incredibly comfortable here. Biking and kayaking were great right from the house - the paddle into Beals/Jonesport harbor was a great trip. Birding from the deck was an added bonus - eagles overhead daily and the shorebirds following the tide were diverse and fun to watch. The property is close to the small towns of Jonesport and Beals - both very welcoming - and we really enjoyed the Wass Island Preserve. We ate our fill of local lobsters, clams and blueberries - all bought direct from the field, boat and wharf. The owners built and maintain this property to the highest standard - everything was perfect! Thanks!

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat

5 of 5
Having been visiting Green Lake since 1973, this is the most peaceful getaway I’ve experienced on the lake. My family and I had a wonderful experience during the one-week (much too short for my liking!) stay. Lucy and Paul are dynamite hosts, always willing to do what they can to ensure an enjoyable vacation. The property is absolutely beautiful, and with the call of the loons it was truly a peaceful retreat. The cabin and environment was as described - clean, well maintained, and a kitchen that is well supplied. Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, and many more gorgeous attractions are an easy day trip. Downtown Ellsworth has excellent grocery stores, Finn’s Irish Pub, and Ruth & Wimpy’s Restaurant in Hancock, a short 20-minute drive out Route 1. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, relative, and anyone else. I wish all properties were this well cared for and the owners/hosts so accommodating.

Clean and comfortable place to land

5 of 5
A group of us stayed at the cabin to be closer to the Tough Mountain Challenge that was held at Sunday River. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy...just like home. They provided everything needed to make our stay a great one. Not knowing what to expect, I brought coffee, dishwasher tabs, etc. But to our surprise, it was already there! I could have eased up on the packing a bit had I realized how prepared our host was! I would recommend this cabin to anyone, any time of year ~ close to Sunday River and super clean and comfy!
