Fabulous space in a beautiful location

5 of 5
Joy's studio was perfect for our short Maine vacation. Next time, we hope to stay for a week, at least! When we arrived and walked up the stairs to the studio, my daughter exclaimed, "Wow! Can I live here?!" The space is bright and open with a high ceiling. It is literally an art studio/studio apartment with everything in one large room, but so cleverly arranged that as you move from cooking to eating to lounging to sleeping, it feels like several rooms. The studio is fully equipped with all those things that I often wish other places had thought to provide. We loved watching the birds coming to the feeders on the balcony. The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed the fresh cut flowers from Joy's garden. The location is quiet enough to be a "get-away", but Damariscotta, South Bristol, Christmas Cove, and Boothbay Harbor are easy to get to. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a must-do trip. Joy was a gracious host and very accommodating. She has lots of information available and suggestions about area attractions, if you need them. The arrangements for our rental, arrival, and departure were smooth and easy. We look forward to returning next year!

Incredible views & steps from the beach!

5 of 5
I really enjoyed my time here! I went for the R&R and that's exactly what I got! The views were incredible, the constant sound of the Atlantic ocean waves lulled me to sleep every nite. Robin & Grace were fantastic hosts, very friendly & easy to talk to if I had any questions. They made me feel welcome instantly. Mid-town Portland is just a few minutes away for those who like to bar crawl or eat at the many restaurants & pubs, or do some touristy cruises. My favorite was the "Lucky Catch" cruise where I actually ate the lobster I just caught on the cruise for dinner!! The Portland Headlight is just down the street. Other awesome lighthouses are within a short driving distance. So much history here... Thank you again, Robin & Grace for your hospitality, & I definitely would recommend this property to anyone!! Wonderful space, cozy for two to find peace!

5 of 5
Marsha is a fabulous woman, very kind and personable. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us a bit about the place. She has a great sense of humor and is wonderful to chat with. This condo is in the perfect spot, in the back on the corner so you get sunsets every night and a beautiful view of the marsh. The place is stocked with every conceivable accoutrement for cleaning, cooking, eating, playing games, and watching an awesome selection of feel good movies! If you're curious about local restaurants, I think there might just be every takeout menu in town at Marsha's, which we found very helpful. I really can't say enough great things about the space and Marsha- simply delightful and we can't wait to go back!
