A delightful getaway in Bar Harbor, Maine!

5 of 5
This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever! The log cabin is clean and very well maintained. The proximity to the entrance of Acadia National Park was a real draw for us. We even made it up to the top of Cadillac Mountain for sunrise--an experience you shouldn't miss! After the sun comes up, go back into town for breakfast at Jordan's. The location is great...shopping in Bar Harbor, a tour of the Atlantic Brewery, a boat ride from Northeast Harbor, relaxing on Sand Beach. If you feel like a longer day trip, take the time to go to Campobello Island in New Brunswick, Canada. It was well worth the drive- don't forget your passport! One thing to think about if you are considering this property: it says it sleeps six which is true. There were only two of us so we had lots of room, but the living room and porch really do not accommodate six adults. You could probably make it work with kids, but it still would be tight. The realtor who handled the property was very helpful and even called to let us know that the property was ready about 3 hours prior to the listed check-in time. This was a perfect vacation spot and we hope to return.

A magical 5 days spent on a serene pond locale!

5 of 5
My family, including a 5 month old baby, spent a glorious vacation in this charming log house with all the amenities one could possibly need. We canoed, kayaked and swam, barbecued on the grill and made S'mores in the fire pit. And when we were tired, we lazed in the hammock overlooking the water. We couldn't ask for anything more and intend to return next summer, although we are tempted to view the autumnal changes from this spot as well.

A truly magnificent Log Cabin!

5 of 5
A truly magnificent Log Cabin! Fun for the entire family and more. Everything about this home promotes quality time w/ friends &/or family. Lots of space to hang out. Game room, fantastic movie theater room, hot tub and not to mention the huge fire-pit area w/ 3 picnic tables and logs to lounge on around the fire pit. Surrounding towns w/ restaurants within a 15 min drive or less. I would recommend Rick's restaurant in Naples for a gorgeous lake view while u sip a beverage or have a meal on the upper deck. Rent a Jet Ski or take a boat ride on the Songo River Cruise boat. The "Corn Shop" in Bridgton is a must see gift shop. We are happy we rented this cabin w/ our children who are 6, 4 and almost 3 months old along w/ our parents. We've enjoyed delicious dinners in the gourmet kitchen followed by roasting s'mores. The back room w/ woods view has 2 dining tables that we've put to use constructing puzzles. Did I mention the beautiful rain shower in the master bedroom. The owner has been very kind in making wonderful recommendations in offering advice on what to visit/see and responds extremely fast to any questions I've sent via email. We loved reading about the construction of the log home that is in a binder near the kitchen. We would already love to visit again & we haven't left yet.
