Our 3rd stay here

5 of 5
4 years ago our group of friends decided to rent this house for a long weekend. We loved it so much that we have tried to come back every year (with the exception of one year when the house was completely booked already). Our reservation this month was our 3rd stay at this house. We always have a wonderful time. It is cozy and homey, and accommodates a large group. Every year we make plans to rent snowmobiles, ski, or snowboard. There are snowboarding trails right off the backyard and the house is very close to Saddleback Mtn. There have been some years though, when we haven't ventured out to do any of these activities, as everyone is too cozy inside near the fireplace, or outside in the hot tub. The home itself is very secluded, and there are often deer and wildlife wandering through the yard. Our first two years at this house we saw deer every day in the yard. This year we didn't see any, unfortunately. The owner thought this might be because not all the guests feed to deer so they do not know to make the house a regular stop. Our first time staying the owner let us know ahead of time that if we put deer food out they would come into the yard. He hasn't mentioned this the last couple times, so I'm hoping if he remembers to include this information in the future for all renters, then most people will put the food out so the deer will come regularly. There is a feed&seed store across from the IGA grocery store in town, and you can get a large bag of feed for under $15. It is so worth it! Our first year we were in the hot tub watching a large group of deer eat only yards from us! I cannot say enough good things about this house, and we will be booking again next year!

Best Ski Condo in Saddleback

5 of 5
My girlfriend and I stayed up there with another couple and stumbled upon 8-10 inches of fresh Utah powder. I have to say one of the best 2 days in the last 10 years of skiing in the Northeast. The condo is high end - beatiful hardwood floors, two floors, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The views of the mountains are to die for. I've been up to the mountain before, but at a seperate location. It's a true ski / on ski off condo with immediate access to the chairlift, but quiet and quiant and away from the lodge sitting at the very top of where houses are built - PERFECT in my opinion. If you're skiing at Saddleback Mountain and you're renting a house, I wouldn't look any further! Great times and I'll be back.
