Absolutely Wonderful Home and Location

5 of 5
This home on Rangeley Lake was a GEM for so many reasons. Belinda Ledue, the owner, is kind and accessible. The home is a beauty - well built, maintained and equipped. Very nice kitchen, wonderful living room with panoramic views, lots of light and cross-ventilation, beautiful wood stove and wood floors, very spacious and comfortable, comfortable beds. In short, it's a real home (not just a summer cabin) that is thoughtfully equipped in the kitchen and throughout. Staying here feels like the owners are generously sharing a lovely family home and environment. The porch and grounds are just lovely - well-maintained, spacious, scenic, sufficiently private. Enjoyed sitting out on the private boat dock, launching our canoe, swimming at the association beach, watching sunrise from the porch, and being a mile from town. In a busier town this might have felt too close but in this area the distance was just right! Enjoyed a floating classical music concert on Friday night. I don't think we could have found a better location. We'd be back here in a heartbeat.

Best vacation ever!

5 of 5
We had an amazing time at the cabin - we hiked, canoed, saw moose and loons on the lake (bring your binoculars!), and relaxed. The cabin had everything we could need from cooking supplies to games to movies. The information book was great. We will be back for sure and have recommended to our friends!

Group Adventure Getaway!

5 of 5
This is a great rental for a family reunion or multi-family vacation. Our group (16 parents and siblings of a high school ski team competing at Saddleback) found the Farmhouse a perfect location for our February school vacation ski stay. A 10 minute drive from base lodge to warm fire, kitchen for a crowd, and lively game/pool room and funky indoor basketball court, provided lots of apres ski fun. Super cozy flannel sheets, and piles of freshly laundered towels provided welcome rest and refreshment when all finally admitted to being tired! One evening we included the 14 team members and coaches for a huge pot luck and 30 people in the home felt as cozy as 5! However, you don't need group to stay here. Our family of 6 arrived a few days early to enjoy the time away from our home routine, with the convenience of an actual home. The house shows the love and attention the owners have given it, and continue to plan for. They are extremely easy to work with and our rental agreement and arrangements were made with ease. The owner made additional calls and emails to offer suggestions on dining and things to do and to make sure we had everything we needed while there. The house is in a quiet location, neighborly and close to the main town but only a few yards from the lake. Snowmobiles do hum day and night, but were not disruptive. We ate out only once, the Red Onion, of course! Members of our group all agreed the Farmhouse was a valuable find and will soon be "hard to get" and that the owners have thought of everything in their preparation for rental - small amenities, from extra sponges and paper towels to new toothbrushes, bar ware, sleds, coolers, etc......we kept finding more helpful "stuff"!! We are sure that a summer rental will be all this and more and are considering a return to check for ourselves! The wrap-around porch and inviting rockers with a view over the lake are all that are needed for a good read on a summer afternoon while the kids swim and the boat is out for a lake cruise. Our only hesitation in recommending the Farmhouse is that it will not be available for us the next time we wish to stay there! Enjoy your stay!
