Lovely...just lovely is the best description I can give when writing this review. From the moment you arrive at this little red bungalow you are greeted by a hammock swaying in the breeze between two trees and a beckoning front porch that invites you to have a seat on Maggie's smooth wooden swing made by her father. However, the best is yet to come upon entering this South Portland, Maine treasure. The furnishings and art work capture the essence of a home that has been well loved and thoughtfully designed. It has such a feeling of spaciousness while at the same time remaining extremely cozy. The kitchen overlooks the back porch and the beautiful backyard Japanese garden area with a shed and a shelf for potting plants. The house is in a fantastic location in the South Portland area. It is a short walk to beautiful Willard Beach, two fabulous bakeries/ Scratch and The Cookie Jar, and right around the corner is Terra Cotta for those with a taste of Italy. Really, Maggie's little red bungalow is a MUST stay while in South Portland! The experience of working with Maggie and renting her house was lovely...just lovely!
