After living in Windham for most of my life, I was very hesitant when my dad told me we were moving to Portland. I had very high expectations for this house if he was having us move from a lake side property, to a house in the city. But I must say, my expectations were met and then some. I couldn't believe the size of the place, and how huge the yard was. Living here made it very easy to have friends stay over and be able to stay out of my dad’s hair. When we stayed there I had multiple gatherings of 40+ people, for things like prom and graduation, and everyone was comfortably moving around the house. The patio was a perfect background for pictures. The patio was actually one of my favorite things about the house; it is a beautifully built, and there was a guaranteed view of the sunset every night. With the huge field and the Portland Trail System near by, it was a nice way to get out of the city while still being there. Having the lawn maintained was another huge thing. As you can tell there is a lot of lawn to maintain so it was nice to have such a willing and helpful property manager to take care of things like that. Patrick was always friendly and never bothered by the tasks we asked him to do for us. I would most definitely recommend this house to anyone and everyone. It’s a less than 10 minute drive from the city, and about 20 minutes to surrounding towns like Windham, Westbrook, and Falmouth. One of my favorite activities while living there would have to be snow shoeing the trails in the winter; they lead to a big open field, about a 5-10 minute walk, that is good for dogs or kids, to go run around in. Having the convenience of Amato’s about 5 minutes away was also a plus of this estate.
