Really has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths

4 of 5
I was only at the cottage for 5 days, but enjoyed the kitchen, well equipped, one burner on the stove didn't work but the owner was aware of that. Nice views from the dinning room, living room and deck. My only real complaint was no firewood, well three very wet pieces of firewood, I bought firewood and should not have had to do that. Be aware that the bathrooms are very small and there is no where to put anything. The Wi-Fi works very well and the property is well maintained, leaves had not started turning until I was leaving. Ocean Point is really close to everything, stores, post office, and in town restaurants. I was sorry to have to leave early.

Delightful getaway location!

5 of 5
Our family stayed at Starfish Cottage in Ocean Point for a celebration of my dad's 90th birthday. We had a wonderful weekend! The owners, Scott and Corinne, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The cottage's open floor plan was perfect for our birthday lobster boil with 26 people. The amenities were just as described, and my dad especially appreciated the private king bedroom with a beautiful new step-in private shower area. The cottage's many windows provided an amazing view of the rocky coast with bobbing lobster traps in the bay, lobster boats, and an island with a lighthouse just beyond. We visited the Boothbay Botanical Gardens which has a fun hands-on section for kids, rode the steam train and visited the vehicle museum at the Boothbay Railway Village, and flew kites, tossed frisbees and played on the playground at a nearby park. And of course, we spent a lot of time climbing over the rocks and exploring tidal pools. On our last evening, we were fortunate to be able to view a magnificent sunset from our perch atop some boulders at the ocean's edge. Truly a delightful getaway location!
