Amazing property to enjoy quintessential Maine

                5 of 5
Saturday Cove Farm is a spectacular house situated on a sprawling estate. The house was very comfortable and enjoyable. The kids.always could not wait to get back to Saturday Cove Farm after our excursions. The kids enjoyed exploring the estate and the nearby cove and checking for eggs in the chicken coop every morning. We had epic wiffle ball games in the backyard and competitive badminton matches on the badminton court. Jeff and Johanna were awesome hosts giving us lots of local knowledge such as blueberry picking and best place to jump off the pier to swim in the ocean. They were always accessible and gracious. Our favorite places to eat were Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast and the Mount Battie Take Out near Camden Hills State Park. Saturday Cove Farm is great for families and reunions. We cannot wait to go back. Hubert from Houston

                The Perfect Blended Family Vacation!

                5 of 5
The Pine Lodge was as advertised, and photos do not do it justice. There were 25 of us: 8 families, ages 4 to 76 years. Even if confined to the Lodge for the week, no one would be bored, what with the huge game room, closet of games, heated pool, hot tub, baby grand piano, huge flat screen TV (so busy we watched only 2 World Cup Games). Enough room for anyone to find a quiet nook if needed. Phenomenal view of Saturday Cove, especially over an a.m. cup of coffee on the deck off the kitchen (alternatively, a glass of wine in the same spot early evening). The Lodge was beautifully maintained and clean as a whistle, with Terra, Don and family readily available if needed. The kitchen was fabulous... huge commercial refrigerator, Wolf gas stove, lots of counter space, dining room to seat 20 and large round kitchen table "for the kids." I'm rambling, but only because we had such a wonderful experience here!Add enormous fire pit (great for making S'mores!) to sit watching the more fit and younger of us play volleyball until dark..... Activities enjoyed, in no particular order: families taking turns cooking meals, board games, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, Cellardoor Winery tour and tasting, discovering Belfast (Chocolate Drop doe ice cream and candy; used book store around the corner) and Camden (coffee at Zola, harbor cruise, dinner at Cappy's Chowder House, Russell's of Camden handmade jewelry).. we did it all and loved every minute. Perhaps the highlight of our stay was the Lobster Bake, also provided by Terra, Don, and family... so much more than we expected (a few fun lawn games at the beginning) and a beautifully choreographed meal. We will never forget it! We highly recommend The Pine Lodge or family reunions, weddings, any large gathering. You won't be disappointed!

                Beautiful cottage on the bay

                5 of 5
We just spent seven wonderful nights at Ocean Cottage - and can't say enough about this beautiful property and central location. The pictures and description don’t do it justice; it’s more beautiful in person. At the cottage, we spent time cooking in the fully-stocked kitchen, relaxing on the beautiful twin decks and even took the beach chairs down by the water for a lazy afternoon reading in the sunshine. Every detail was covered – and labels throughout the cottage made it easy to find what we needed. Breakfast and coffee on the lower deck became one of our favorite daily rituals. And the view – amazing . . . from the sun rising over the water to the fog rolling in across the bay and even fishing boats pulling up lobster traps. For the location, it is situated between Camden (25 minutes) and Belfast (10 minutes) on a quiet, mostly residential road. It was close to Rt 1, and a great place to start our daily adventures to Acadia National Park (about two hours) and throughout the mid-coast region from small fishing villages to the local wineries. (Who knew that Maine produced so much great wine? It was mostly fruit based, versus grape. Try the blueberry - delicious.) The owner also provided a great book of recommendations, many of which we tried . . . along with about every lobster shack in the area. Lastly, the owner, David was very responsive and easy to work with – and there is no doubt that he takes pride in his beautiful property and making sure guests have what they need for an enjoyable vacation. I know I’ll be dreaming about our wonderful vacation for a long time . . . and will hopefully be back soon. Thanks David!
