                                  5 of 5
What a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! We stayed for 5 nights as we attended a wedding at the lighthouse on Friday. Janet could not have been more helpful with keeping in contact, a beautiful card, information on Maine waiting on the table. The cottage was a delight with a screened in porch, some food in the fridge, and a short walk to the shore. Did I mention a screened in porch!! : )Wedding lobster bake at a co-op, New Harbor for a dinner, North Country Wind Bells on Rt. 32, Freeport for LLBean, and Damariscotta with a pirate festival on Saturday lent for an enjoyable exploration of the area. A splendid place to unwind!

                                  it's a wonderful life!

                                  5 of 5
Natalie has her heart in this house. It is simply elegant and thoughtfully furnished. Everything in her description is right on. You can walk to Reilly's grocery within five minutes, walk 15 minutes to Pemquid Beach, Fort William Henry, to the Cupboard Restaurant(get there early for their stickey buns), walk to Shaw's for all kinds of seafood right in the village, and drive within 5-15 minutes to the lighthouse, rock school house, Round Pond, and kayaking put-in. Take a day to go to Mongehan Island, (do not miss this) and the boat leaves at 5:30pm for a trip out to see the Puffins. This is a full week for play and rest all within 15-20 minutes from the guest cottage. Our temps were in the 70's and the sky was brilliant blue for six of the seven days in July. Thanks Natalie for making your place available. The Kelley's from Arkansas, Boston and Kansas

The Ultimate Maine Coast Vacation Experience

                                  5 of 5
From the time we pulled into the driveway to the amazing view & continuing throughout our stay, we knew we found what we were looking for. We wanted to visit the Maine coast & stay right on the rocky ocean shore. The property & view are amazing & provide the ultimate Maine coast experience. The property is located in the quaint, laid back, fishing village of New Harbor. New Harbor is ideally located mid-coast, so access to the tourist attractions to the north & south is very convenient. The house had everything you could need & was very accurately described on the website, which we had relied upon. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving, but I can say that the house & grounds were impeccably maintained. We did our share of traveling up & down the shore visiting & experiencing the beauties of Maine. However, we really enjoyed just kicking back & relaxing at the house. Withing walking distance is a fully stocked grocery store, a great ice cream shop & a little bakery, all of which we visited on more than one occasion. There are several nice restaurants in & around New Harbor as well. The experience of sitting in the chairs on the front lawn or on the rocks watching the waves and lobster boats going by is relaxing & reflective. John & Marilyn have thought of everything & we found them to be very gracious & accommodating hosts. We will very definitely recommend this property to any of our friends & relatives who plan on visiting Maine. We hated to leave & hope to someday return and relive our Maine experience.
