Highly Recommend!!

Previous reviewers have not exaggerated: This cottage was built with love and pride of workmanship, and was SUPER CLEAN. It is just minutes away from many visitor attractions, yet it has a forest setting that makes it seem very secluded - we found it so restful after a long day of exploring. Without being cluttered, this cottage had everything we needed to be quite comfortable. We spent a week here and could have stayed forever. If we are lucky enough to return someday, we would definitely stay here again. Many thanks!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location

4 of 5
This was a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is cozy and very clean; even though it's small the living room feels spacious with high ceilings. The furniture is comfortable and tasteful and looks new. The wifi worked perfectly. There was a binder and a good collection of books about the area. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with quality cookware. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and eating on the porch, and cooking lobster that we bought live at the pound in Southwest Harbor, as well as walking down to Pond's End to enjoy the water and sun. There are lots of deer living nearby and one morning they grazed right by the window and the porch. The location was great for us, it's in a quieter part of the island but there is still plenty to do. There was some confusion over the presence of a washer/dryer because the agent's email instructed us to put sheets and towels in the laundry when leaving, but when we got there we realized there was none. There is a laundromat fairly close by though. The location can be slightly tricky to find as Google Street View puts it a bit off, but the number is visible from the road on the mailbox and we found it without any real trouble.

Wonderful vacation retreat for our gang of 14. Highly recommended!

5 of 5
14 in our gang....extended family teens - thru 96 yr olds. Houses/cabins at Camp O are very well prepared. Easy to eat en masse. Very happy to have been on the quiet side of the island - Bar Harbor is a bit hectic and touristy... Didn't miss being offline for week - should do it more often! Very much enjoyed kayaking, hiking, biking daily....and clamming on our private beach. We did eat out a few times, but in the end preferred to shop and eat lobsters that we cooked at Camp O at our leisure.... Great vacation - will do it again in the future.... Have already recommended it to some friends. Owners very helpful prior to our visit - many useful recommendations. The description of the place is quite accurate.
