This was a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is cozy and very clean; even though it's small the living room feels spacious with high ceilings. The furniture is comfortable and tasteful and looks new. The wifi worked perfectly. There was a binder and a good collection of books about the area. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with quality cookware. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and eating on the porch, and cooking lobster that we bought live at the pound in Southwest Harbor, as well as walking down to Pond's End to enjoy the water and sun. There are lots of deer living nearby and one morning they grazed right by the window and the porch.
The location was great for us, it's in a quieter part of the island but there is still plenty to do. There was some confusion over the presence of a washer/dryer because the agent's email instructed us to put sheets and towels in the laundry when leaving, but when we got there we realized there was none. There is a laundromat fairly close by though. The location can be slightly tricky to find as Google Street View puts it a bit off, but the number is visible from the road on the mailbox and we found it without any real trouble.
