ABSOLUTELY AMAzing

5 of 5
This place was way beyond my expectations. What an incredible beautiful cabin. When I showed friends pictures of the cabin they couldn't believe it. They expected some rustic old place. Everything you need is there for a quiet and peaceful time at Moosehead. We saw deer in the front yard a lot which the kids really enjoyed. Mt Kineo is right there and lots of hiking to do very close by. The rap around deck was amazing we ate our dinners there every evening. Bikes and kayaks was provided at the cabins. Everything was just perfect. The owner Allen was very helpful at answering via email any questions we had. Fishing is just a walk down the driveway.

Picked the perfect vacation spot

5 of 5
My husband and I were traveling from Texas with our 3 grown daughters for wedding in Portland and wanted to explore northern Maine. I studied all listings and chose this house. After staying there Monday through Friday we realized that we could not have found a house better suited for our needs. It was a gorgeous weather week and we got to see and hear loons, watch seaplanes land and enjoy the kayaks that were available. The views were picture perfect. My husband and oldest daughter enjoyed a day of guided fishing for landlocked salmon and we even took a moose tour. But just being at this house and sitting on the dock surpassed all my expectations. I hope we can go back up there one day. Thanks so much.

More than moose! This place is fantastic!

We originally just wanted a cabin with two bathrooms. Moosehead Lake has two full baths and so much more: a well equipped kitchen, a lovely deck, comfortable beds, really nice furniture and a hot tub :) My first trip to Maine was truly memorable. We hiked the AT, kayaked on the lake, boiled lobster, baked a pie and enjoyed the local flora and fauna and still had time to play some games and read a book. Carol was a gracious host.
