Came to househunt up the coast aways. Used this place as a home base,,,,and it was the BEST locastion of all. The house is quite roomy. The view from both inside the house and on the deck was fascinating. The town is friendly, 44 degrees was a good place to eat. One tip: bring binoculars, we were sorry that we didn't think to do so. Very grateful that this is pet-friendly or we would not have been here in the first place. The listing was completely accurate. Not only would we recommend it, we'd come back. Watching the lobster boats go out in the early morning and return later was our favorite part of the whole trip! Bonnie and Jan from southwest New Hampshire.

This is a long overdue review, and truthfully, I didn't want to write one because I want to keep this place a secret. This home was a lifesaver for our family of 7. We had just stayed our 2nd miserable night at another rental in another town and were desperate to find a new place. We would've had a miserable ten-day vacation had we not stumbled upon this place the day before we rented. As soon as we drove up the driveway, everyone was beyond ecstatic that we made the decision to leave the original rental home. It was a very spacious, brand new home, complete with 2 sets of kitchen (upstairs for formal, downstairs for patio dining), generous lawn for playing frisbee and croquet. The owner's family lived nearby and the cousin who took care of us was a wonderful, welcoming face to the property. In short, we were so happy with the beautiful property that we ended up seeing less of Downeast (and Canada) than we had planned. I think my parents were kind of relieved not to be stuck driving around from place to place anyway. Having been to that area 4 summers now, they loved spending a week just sitting on the porch and walking down to their very own beach and kayaking everyday right outside of the home. We were honored to have been the very first guests and I hope we will be coming back to rent this place. It was a calm, elegant, and magical Maine summer just as it should be for everyone.
