Wonderful, real experience

5 of 5
This great, comfortable house in walking distance of charming village was perfect for our family of four. Dock with ferry to Monheghan Island is right there, along with the Dip Net restaurant and the General Store, which has a great breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit in the living room together and play ping pong in the game room. Owners were very good in communication and making us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this for a real Maine experience!

Beautiful Camden Autumn Vacation

5 of 5
Our family recently stayed at this historic gem in mid-coast Maine , it was the quintessential Camden experience. The home was warm on chilly nights, comfortable and wonderfully decorated with New England nostalgia. Filled with all the materials you would need to go sight seeing or to simply stay in and read for the evening. We felt the beds were superb and had some of the best night's sleep there. The kitchen was so large and easy to use, it was tough to get out to enjoy the many fabulous restaurants in town. The children loved the 3rd floor and played up there for hours with the games. There was plenty of space and extra bedrooms. The owners were so helpful in helping us find lobsters, beaches to visit, and activities suitable for our young children. Truthfully, this was just a wonderful renting experience, we really only needed to bring our own clothing and food to make the time spent here complete. The view from the front yard of Mt. Battie and the surrounding park was so beautiful to watch turn from green to golden red and orange. Walking into town was such a delight, the quaint quiet streets nearby were perfect for bike riding, hill walking and jogging. If you want to be in town and experience the local culture, as well as have easy access to nearby interests, I can not imagine a more perfect house rental in the Camden area. We will be returning soon.

Every Leaf was a Flower

5 of 5
Our first trip to Maine and as a bonus, Autumn. Due to airline issues we arrived the first night well after dark so it was not possible to view the harbor or the area. As the sun came up our first morning we were blessed with an artist’s palette. The tide filled the harbor; the colors of the trees brightened the landscape; the beauty that was to be ours for a week role out before our eyes. Stockton Springs was a great location for our adventures, since we wished to explore both North and South. Acadia to Owl’s Head was our wonderland. Oceans, harbors, colors, lighthouses, sailboats, bridges, forts, food, towns, shopping, trains; so much to do so little time! The cottage was everything we expected; well equipped, private, comfortable, warm and inviting. Our only regret is that we spent so much time enjoying the area the time at the cottage was limited to sleeping and breakfast. The memories of the cottage, the area and the fun of an extended family coming together in a warn environment will last a lifetime.
