Perfect in-town place to stay

5 of 5
Just a block off the main drag it is ideal for exploring Camden, which in turn is situated nicely for day trips throughout the Mid-Coast area. Acadia National Park is about two hours north; lighthouses, lobster pounds (recommend McLoon's in Spruce Head, great location), and the Coastal Maine Gardens in Boothbay are within 90 minutes the other way. Apartment offers much more space than standard motel or studio rooms, recently renovated with good quality fixtures and furnishings. Unit has 1 1/2 baths including its own laundry, kitchen has everything you would need. Owner is nearby and can advise if you are not familiar with the area. Would definitely look to stay here again next time visiting Maine.

Excellent place to stay!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at this cozy little apartment above a great art studio for 1 week while we explored the coast of Maine. It was a perfect location which was easy access to a walk into town. The owner, Linda, was absolutely fabulous from informing us on where to visit and also her recommendations on restaurants, shopping, and just little inside history of the town of Camden. Since her family has owned the house for so many years, she had lots of great information. This is the place to stay. The apartment came equipped with everything. You wouldn't have to bring a thing as far as kitchen use. She even included paper goods! The outdoor back porch was great for last night cocktails or just sitting and reading a book! Very private. We even had a little mishap during our stay which included a quick hospital stay and Linda was so helpful. It was nice to have someone like Linda there especially not knowing the area. She made our trip to Maine even more enjoyable. There is NOT one thing that I could come up with that would be a negative thing except for the size of the bed. It is only a double bed. The bed was very comfortable so it really wasn't an issue for us.

Wonderful stay, great location, much to do in area

5 of 5
Stayed three nights in mid-August, we are a couple in our mid 20's. The house was beautiful, clean, and had a very homey feel, with basically everything we needed (including a hairdryer, which I surprisingly forgot!) The location was perfect; right around the corner/walking distance from grocery and other stores. We walked to the Breakwater Lighthouse one evening (beautiful view at sunset!). Main street was about a mile away, a convenient stroll into town for dinner/drinks and checking out the variety of shops. The Farnsworth Art Museum is also worth checking out - you could certainly spend hours in there. We enjoyed kayaking one morning in the harbor with Breakwater Kayak Co. Everyone we met in town was nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and wish we could have stayed longer! There was plenty more to do in the area. Definitely recommend this property and Rockland/surrounding towns to anyone looking for a great getaway! Thank you Nicole for all your help :)
