Clean and comfortable cottage on the ocean

The house is very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. All modern amenities and great outdoors! Just a few minutes drive to the Seawall, Wonderland and Echo Lake.

Wonderful House and a Great Vacation!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were there from Saturday to Saturday (just me and my girlfriend) and the house was ideal for us. It was close to the town of Southwest Harbor but far enough away to be private. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the deck overlooking the harbor every morning. We hiked up Cadillac Mountain, Acadia Mountain, St. Saveur Mountain, Valley Peak, and down to Echo Lake from Beech Mountain, among other hikes and we ate ate Thurston's, Sawyer's, Beal's, Quietside Cafe, and other favorites. The house was perfectly situated for all the hiking and lobster and blueberry pie eating we liked to do. The kitchen was well equipped and made blueberry pancakes and lobster scrambled eggs, and once we boiled lobster at home. Working with Mark was an absolute pleasure. He made everything very easy for us and the house was clean and in excellent order when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this house and will stay there again.

Beautiful secluded waterfront home

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed here with 9 adults and our new baby, including my in-laws and my own parents. Needless to say, we needed space for everyone's peace and privacy. This home was perfect. The wrap-around porch was a great place to relax and watch the yachts and lobster boats head out of Southwest Harbor. The porch also gave us great views of the sunrise over Acadia's mountains (as do three of the six bedrooms). The large picture windows in the living room offered the same views and the window seats were great spots for reading or napping. Almost all of us gathered around the living room fire each night. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked and very clean. We cooked dinner at the house every night with everyone fitting comfortably around the large dining room table. The house is about 2 miles from the town of Southwest Harbor. We really loved this town. It has a nice gourmet market, a wine & cheese shop, a few clothing boutiques, a very affordable nine hole golf course right on the water, and a fantastic library--although the house has a formidable library in its own right--so you might never feel compelled to venture to the town library. The owner and the caretakers were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay at the house again.
